DNA analysis allows us to know the specific genetic composition of foods and ensure traceability and quality through the food chain. We provide genetic analysis for detecting and quantifying transgenic material, contributing to compliance with the EU legislation in force.

Our analysis services include a screening and identification service for transgenic events up to the precise quantification of GMO traces, available as URGENT and EXPRESS services in which we offer the analysis results in only 24-12 hours.

Types of Analysis We Offer

Screening Analysis

Determines whether or not there is transgenic material in any kind of sample from foods or animal feed using PCR.

  • Option 1:
    P-35S, T-Nos, P-FMV, Maize Gene
  • Option 2:
    P-35S, T-Nos, P-FMV, Soya Gene
  • Option 3:
    P-35S, T-Nos, P-FMV, Plant Gene

GMO SG Testing

Innovative analysis to determine whether or not there are events, authorised and/or unauthorised from maize, soya and/or rapeseed and to quantify them. For such purpose, we use the digital PCR (ddPCR) technique, which brings together a high level of sensitivity for detecting such transgenic events with a precise quantification of these events if any are found in the sample. In this way, we optimise transgenic analysis for food products and animal feed that may be subject to the EU legislation in force.

Quantitative Analysis

This determines the percentage of transgenic material in food products or animal feed using conventional PCR or real-time PCR. This allows us to know exactly whether or not it complies with EU legislation that regulates the labelling for food products with GMO contents.

Quantification of Regulating Elements

This determines the percentage of transgenic material present in a sample using real-time PCT in maize, soya, cotton and rice.

  • P-35S/maize
  • T-NOS/maize

Quantification of transgenic events

This determines the percentage of transgenic materials in certain events using real-time PCR and digital PCR in maize, soya and rapeseed.

  • Quantification of Maize Events
  • Quantification of Soya Events
  • Quantification of Rapeseed Events

There is the possibility to hone the quantification of any transgenic event in the catalogue at the customer’s request.
